We are proud to be part of a compassionate hockey family that consistently comes together to support one another both on and off the ice.

Theme

2026

At DAWG Nation, the annual DAWG Bowl tournament has become known for its meaningful themes that bring our hockey community together around important causes. In 2027, we are currently evaluating potential themes and look forward to announcing this year’s focus in the coming months.

Last year (2026), the tournament was dedicated to Mental Health Awareness following the heartbreaking loss of a cherished member of our community, Tommy Daniels Pisciotta, on January 5. The event helped raise awareness, encourage important conversations, and reinforce a message that continues to guide our mission: “No one skates alone.”

As we prepare for DAWG Bowl 2027, we remain committed to using the game we love to make a positive impact both on and off the ice, and we look forward to sharing this year’s theme soon

The Survivor Game is designed to recognize and honor athletes who have overcome cognitive, physical, and visual disabilities, showcasing their strength, perseverance, and love of the game. More than just a hockey event, it is a celebration of inclusion, inspiration, and the power of community.

We invite everyone to join us in supporting these remarkable athletes, cheering them on, and experiencing the joy of being part of a welcoming and inclusive hockey family. Stay tuned for additional details as we prepare for another unforgettable Survivor Game.

2026 Recipient

Will Myers

Each year, DAWG Nation selects a recipient whose story inspires our community to come together and make a meaningful impact. In 2026, we were proud to support Will Myers and his family during an incredibly challenging time.

Will was diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer and faced an uncertain financial future while undergoing intensive treatment. As a devoted husband, father of three daughters, and the sole provider for his family, the extended time away from work created significant hardship. Throughout the tournament weekend, Will’s Busch Lightning teammates and the broader hockey community rallied around him, demonstrating the power of support both on and off the ice.

The DAWG Nation Board further amplified that support by approving a matching grant initiative, helping maximize the impact of donations made on Will’s behalf. The generosity shown throughout the event was a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when the hockey community comes together for one of its own.

As we prepare for DAWG Bowl 2027, we are currently evaluating potential recipients and look forward to announcing this year’s beneficiary in the coming months. Our commitment remains the same: supporting members of the hockey community facing extraordinary challenges and providing assistance when it is needed most.
