Overview of the Coed (team) Divisions

Please note that not all divisions listed below may take place. If we’re unable to fill a division and ensure fair gameplay, your team might be dropped, and a refund will be issued. We apologize in advance if this occurs.

*Team rosters need to be turned in two weeks before the tournament starts and adding players after that could result in a review of your team’s division placement.*

Platinum

This division features talented, seasoned players with impressive backgrounds. Many have competed in professional leagues (including those in Europe), NCAA Division I or III, Major Junior, and Junior A levels. The teams here are on par with the traditional “A+” level adult league squads.

Gold

This division is geared toward experienced players with backgrounds like Junior A or B, Non-Varsity College (ACHA), Midget Major AAA, and Prep or Varsity High School. The teams are similar in skill to a traditional “A” level adult league.

Silver

This division features players with a mix of experience, from Division II or III ACHA and Junior B or C to varsity high school and lower midget levels. Some may have little organized youth experience but bring years of recreational adult play to the table. Overall, these teams are similar to traditional “B” level adult league squads.

Bronze A

This division includes players with some organized playing experience, whether as adults or in their youth, those with little to no youth experience but several years as adult players, and individuals with non-varsity high school experience who have been away from the game for years. These teams are on par with traditional “C” level adult league teams.

Bronze B

These teams are made up entirely of novice adult players. While a few may have more than five years of experience at the novice adult level, most players have just one to five years of entry-level experience as adults. They’re roughly on par with standard “D” level adult league teams.

Copper A

Teams are comprised of players with some hockey experience. Players in this division may have limited youth hockey experience up to non-varsity high school and are several years removed from that level or have played more than 5 years as an adult.

Copper B

These teams are made up entirely of novice adult players, most with less than five years of entry-level experience.
