Theme

At DAWG Nation, our annual DAWG Bowl tournaments always feature a special theme. This year, we’re shining a spotlight on Mental Health Awareness to bring attention to this important issue. On January 5th, we lost a cherished member of our community, Tommy Daniels Pisciotta, and we’re dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental health and emphasizing that “no one skates alone.”

Survivor Game

On June 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., we’re hitting the ice for the region’s first-ever Survivor game, sponsored by Alexander Plumbing and Remodeling. We’ll be celebrating incredible athletes who have triumphed over cognitive, physical, and visual disabilities. Join us to cheer them on and experience the joy of being part of a warm, inclusive community.

Recipient

Will Myers

Will was diagnosed last month with Stage 2 throat cancer. As a union painter in St. Louis, he now faces an uncertain financial future, with weekly chemotherapy and daily radiation treatments keeping him out of work for at least seven weeks—well beyond his available sick and personal leave. A devoted husband and father of three daughters, he is the sole provider for his family, making this loss of income a significant hardship. The DAWG Nation board has approved a 3-to-1 match for every dollar donated, up to $2,500. Will’s Busch Lightning teammates have rallied to support him and will stand proudly alongside the community during this special weekend.

Venue Details

The Maryville University Hockey Center is a modern ice and multi-sport venue located in Chesterfield Valley. Spanning 84,000 square feet, it boasts two NHL-sized rinks, seating for around 2,000 fans, a second-floor enclosed viewing area, team meeting rooms, and spacious locker rooms.

What it’s all about

Hockey players from all walks of life will come together for an incredible three-day event packed with competition, emotion, support, and generosity. We’re excited for another unforgettable few days as we work to help those who need it most. The DAWG Nation Hockey Foundation relies heavily on these events to raise funds for our hockey community during tough times, with each one usually focused on a specific recipient. We’re grateful to be part of such a compassionate and caring hockey family that comes together to support each other in times of greatest need.

All proceeds will be directed to the recipients of DAWG Nation grants, who are selected by DAWG Nation from its charitable class. DAWG Nation operates as a tax-exempt public charity under IRS Code 501(c)(3).
