This game honors players who’ve battled back from life‑changing injuries and illnesses to return to the ice. Their courage, their grit, and their refusal to quit make this the most powerful and uplifting event of the tournament.

The Midwest region

On June 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., the Maryville University Hockey Center will host the region’s first‑ever Survivor Game, proudly sponsored by Alexander Plumbing and Remodeling. This special night is dedicated to celebrating remarkable athletes who have overcome cognitive, physical, and visual challenges — individuals whose resilience reminds us what strength truly looks like.

While participation in honor of someone special is a cherished part of this event, the nomination window for this year’s Survivor Game is now closed. We are deeply grateful for the heartfelt stories and submissions shared with us.

We invite you to come cheer on these incredible athletes and experience the warmth of an inclusive community. Hockey is for everyone, and this year’s spotlight shines on the importance of mental health awareness.
