On June 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., DAWG Nation Midwest hosted the region’s first‑ever Survivor Game at the Maryville University Hockey Center, proudly sponsored by Alexander Plumbing and Remodeling. Coinciding with our annual Gateway DAWG Bowl tournaments, the night became a powerful reminder of what this community is all about.
We celebrated athletes who had overcome cognitive, physical, and visual challenges — individuals whose resilience showed what strength looks like on and off the ice. The stories shared, the smiles in the building, and the energy surrounding these athletes made the night unforgettable.
One of the most meaningful moments came when the community rallied around Will Myers, a husband, father, teammate, and fighter. Seeing players sign his jersey and watching him step onto the ice to drop the puck underscored exactly why this event mattered.
