As part of our community outreach for the inaugural Survivor Game on June 13th at the Maryville University Hockey Center, we were honored to welcome Pershard Owens to the event. A St. Louis native, Pershard had excelled as the Blues anthem singer for two consecutive seasons, following in the footsteps of Charles Glenn. His remarkable résumé — including performances at NFL and NBA games — brought an added level of pride and excitement to the evening.
Pershard’s presence helped set the tone for a night centered on courage, resilience, and community. His involvement became another meaningful example of how the hockey world rallies together to lift up those facing life‑changing challenges
