#60 – Goalie

Mason Venegoni was only 10 years old when life threw him a challenge no child should face. In 2022, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and within weeks, he underwent surgery to remove it. By the grace of God, the tumor was benign — a blessing that gave Mason and his family a renewed sense of hope and gratitude.

Through it all, Mason’s hockey community, the Meramec Sharks, and DAWG Nation rallied around him, lifting his family during one of the scariest times of their lives. Their support carried him through recovery, and today Mason stands strong, healed, and back in the crease as a goalie — with no lasting deficits.

Every time Mason steps onto the ice, it’s more than just a game. It’s a celebration of resilience, community, and the gift of being able to play the sport he loves. His journey is a reminder that with faith, support, and determination, even the toughest battles can be overcome.
