Liam Womack steps onto the ice this year with a purpose that runs far deeper than the game — he skates for his mom, a courageous brain cancer survivor who has been fighting since 2020. Her strength, resilience, and determination have shaped every part of his journey, both on and off the ice.
She is not only a survivor, but also a DAWG Nation recipient, and the support she received from the community as a whole has meant the world to their family. Now, Liam skates to honor her fight, celebrate her victories, and carry her spirit forward with every stride.
For Liam, this game is more than hockey. It’s gratitude. It’s love. It’s a son honoring the hero who inspires him every single day.
