Chad Bomerschein’s life changed in an instant in late September 2021. Just as the hockey season was getting underway, a devastating motorcycle accident left him with a traumatic brain injury, fractures to his skull, back, neck, ribs, and a long list of other injuries that would challenge even the strongest among us. Doctors made it clear: the road ahead would be long, painful, and uncertain. He still faces additional surgeries to repair his skull and shoulder.
But Chad never stopped fighting.Today, Chad skates in the DAWG Nation Survivor Game as a symbol of resilience, gratitude, and the unbreakable spirit of a hockey player who refuses to quit. His journey reminds us that even after life’s hardest hits, you can rise, rebuild, and inspire everyone around you.
