Stacey Burdick

On March 28, 2023, Stacey Burdick was diagnosed with rectal cancer. She’s completed radiation and is currently undergoing chemotherapy, with her doctors indicating possible future surgeries depending on her progress. Stacey works as a Teacher’s Aide for special needs children at Eastwood Elementary in East Alton, Illinois. Her husband, Travis, is a Captain with the East Alton Fire Department and a retired military veteran. They have two children, ages 16 and 14, both active in JV and Varsity hockey for their local high school, with Stacey’s son also playing for the Twin Bridges Lightning Hockey Club. A devoted hockey mom, Stacey serves on the board for the high school’s hockey team, while Travis plays for the Metro East Responders and coaches both JV and Varsity teams. Her illness has deeply impacted the family, keeping her from working and limiting her ability to help at home, causing her to miss many family events. Travis and the kids are worried about what the future might hold, and finances are becoming a serious concern.
