A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers who helped out at our 2nd Annual Gateway DAWG Bowl this past weekend! There were so many of you, it’s hard to know where to start. You are truly appreciated. Volunteers are a vital part of our mission to support members of the hockey community during tough times, and this event was especially close to our hearts. Many of you know Eric Larkin and his family, who were involved in a serious car accident late last year after Eric suffered a seizure while driving. Not long after, they became part of our DAWG Nation family. We met them at Jonny O’s 3-on-3 Affton Bash April, where Eric and his dad, Ed, spent the whole weekend helping with scorekeeping and other tasks. Eric also played on one of our DAWG’s teams, scoring a goal in the first game as his son Brayden and Ed kept score together—a moment we’ll never forget. This is what it’s all about for us. Eric is now a forever member of our pack, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
