This past weekend was truly special as we welcomed some incredible guests. Rick and Riley Alire made the trip from Colorado to share the warmth and care of the DAWG Nation community, and our friends from the Dented Puck Foundation traveled from across the country to join us. For those unfamiliar, the Dented Pucks are an amazing traveling Blind Hockey Team that holds a special place in our hearts. The weekend kicked off Thursday with a memorable night at the Blues game, where we caught up, shared stories, and enjoyed a special jersey presentation from Tony (STL DAWG) introducing plans for a Hockey Heals program in St. Louis. Hockey Heals is a weekly pickup game in Colorado designed for people facing mental and physical health challenges, and we’re excited to bring it to our area. The jersey colors were thoughtfully chosen to help visually impaired players on the ice. We’re so grateful for everyone’s presence and participation throughout the weekend.
