Elliana’s Journey

Elliana Cloin was diagnosed with a rare condition called GATA2 Deficiency Syndrome when she was in 3rd grade. This disorder causes stem cells to malfunction, meaning her bone marrow isn’t producing the immune cells she needs, leaving her immune system progressively weaker. Without treatment, she would likely develop leukemia. The only option is a Stem Cell Transplant, also known as a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). Her father, Bill, has been a dedicated hockey player and coach at the high school and college levels for over 25 years in the St. Louis area. To help with transplant-related expenses and the ongoing medical costs she will face throughout her life, the DAWG Nation board had approved a dollar-for-dollar match of donations up to $5,ooo

Cornhole Tournament Benefit

We had the chance to meet Elliana’s dad, Bill, on September 5th, 2023, during our 2nd annual Corhdawg Tournament at Top Shooters. With the help of the community and some Blues alumni in attendance, we were able to present the family with a check for $6,000. We’re looking forward to spending more time with Bill at Hockey Heals.
