A huge thanks to the Celebrating Meg trivia fundraiser for their generous $500 donation to DAWG Nation last Saturday. This yearly event, with its fun Disco trivia theme, honors the memory of Meg Herndon, who sadly passed away in 2012. We hear they raised an amazing $15,000, which will go toward a scholarship for a nursing student at SEMO. It was a wonderfully organized event, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Looking for something to do on September 13th? This annual fundraiser supports nursing students at SEMO through a scholarship and honors Meg, who sadly passed away in 2012. Her father, “Scooter” Herndon, a local St. Louis referee, is active with DAWG Nation, helping with referee scheduling for tournaments and always giving back. Meg’s mother and sister organize this benefit and also volunteer with Mid-America Transplant to raise awareness for organ donation, even attending this year’s Gateway DAWG Bowl to spread the word. We still have a few spots at our table and would love for some of the hockey community to join us in supporting this great cause.
