Diagnosis:
Brandi has been diagnosed with anaplastic oligodendroglioma, a malignant form of cancer. She’s fought this battle before, but her family and doctors fear it may be terminal this time. She’s scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor, but due to significant fluid buildup on her brain, a shunt will also be placed to relieve pressure. Her son, Liam, plays for the Twin Bridges Lightning and will be a 10U major in the upcoming season. The family has always been devoted St. Louis Blues fans. Brandi’s husband, Craig Womack, now faces the possibility of life without her while raising their three children. Along with the emotional toll, they are expecting substantial medical bills from treatment and the loss of Brandi’s income and vital contributions to the family.
Partnering with the Twin Bridges Lightning youth organization
Teaming up with the Twin Bridges youth organization, we surprised Brandi Womack and her family with a BIG check yesterday during a 3-on-3 youth tournament. Brandi is a fighter through and through, though she’s recently faced a setback in her battle with brain cancer. With her loving family and the hockey community rallying behind her, she’s ready to drop the gloves and go for the knockout against cancer. Thanks to the support of many, we’re aiming to make a real dent in the mounting medical bills so Brandi can focus on what matters most. Please join us in sending the Womacks our very best.
