It was incredible to witness the hockey community’s ongoing generosity and support. We were honored to meet Allen Lalk and his family and contribute in any way we could. The donation campaign will stay open, and we’ll continue to be involved with the Lalks moving forward. Huge thanks to Bar Down Sports Bar and the Columbia Hockey Club for leading yesterday’s events!
Know before you go! “What to Expect Saturday” is an open house-style event all about coming together—eating, mingling, dropping tickets into raffle baskets for prizes, and testing your luck with the 50/50. Most importantly, it’s about showing up for Coach Lalk and his family! There’s no single main event to catch at a certain time; the afternoon will be steadily busy, so feel free to come and go as you please. Bar Down Sports Bar will be donating at the end of the night, so eat well, drink well, and remember to tip your bartenders and servers! Raffle basket tickets are 6 for $5 or $20 for an arm’s length, available via a specific QR code or cash. Buckets in front of each item let you choose where to drop your tickets. Drawings start at 5:00 p.m., one winner per basket, and you must be present to win! The 50/50 is cash only, with an ATM onsite, and will be drawn at 5:30 p.m. Winners are encouraged to keep their half—Allen and Larissa appreciate all the support, knowing every little bit helps.
